Saturday, Sept 9th 2018 Notice

Hi Neighbors!
Happy Fall!
This Saturday we have an exciting event happening in Hidden Lakes!  A few residents will be hosting a Cub Scouts activity at the park from 10am-12pm which is bringing approximately 30 children with their parents to the area.  We ask that you be extremely mindful of this on Saturday and take extra precautions knowing the amount of young children that will be in the neighborhood.  Also, please be respectful and mindful of the time that our association members have booked at the park to host this exciting event for the youngsters.
If you have any questions please let us know.
Also, be on the lookout for your most recent Hidden Lakes Gazette that will be distributed door to door in the next week.
Thank you!

Final Dam Update

Good Evening,

First of all, thank you for all of the communication lately from all of you!  We truly appreciate everyone's participation and response to the meeting that was held tonight.  Whether you approved or opposed, your vote matters and it is appreciated.

Thank you as well for the great meeting!  We lucked out with the weather and it ended up being a beautiful night to see everyone.  As an update, we had 71 votes in person or by proxy so we have met the quorum that we sought in order to close out the dam project.  64 approved, 7 opposed.  The dam has been completed and paid in full!  We thank everyone that volunteered their time over the years, in many ways, to make this happen.

I will be working again on regularly sending out Hidden Lakes Gazettes to keep the neighborhood communication going as much as possible.  If you ever have any information to submit, please send it over!  I'd love to include pictures, stories or anything that we think would be good to share out.  Lets start showcasing the great neighborhood we have. In addition, I will be working on starting to organize our annual Fall Fest for this year.  I will not be able to attend due to a family wedding that weekend, so I would love it if anyone is willing to volunteer to help.  We have had a great turnout in the past and I know everyone looks forward to this!

Finally, if anyone would ever like to discuss anything, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at anytime.  I do work full time, have 2 children and a husband with a crazy work schedule, so advance notice to talk would be helpful, but I am always willing to listen and will make the time.

Thank you again and enjoy your night!

Hi Neighbors!

As you are aware, we have an upcoming meeting on Monday regarding the revote of the financials for the dam.  As the correspondence stated, this meeting is being held to resolve a disagreement between the number of votes required  in order to implement a special assessment for the dam.  The meeting is not because the Board believes a quorum was not met, but to satisfy the disagreement between a limited number of association members and the Board of what a quorum is defined as, in the event of a special assessment outside of the annual budget.   This option is the least expensive option to resolve, which is why we have taken this approach.

As a reminder, in order to resolve this matter, we need to have a total of 64 votes (total number of member votes, not total number of approved votes), either in person at the meeting or by proxy.  As a reminder, you can vote by proxy to bypass attendance at the meeting.  Your proxy can either be turned into the park box or sent by mail.

Just a reminder that the proxies state that they can be mailed and received by this Saturday at the PO Box OR can be submitted to the Drop Box in the Park as late as 6 PM on Sept 9th.   This deadline is quickly approaching, so please consider this as soon as possible if you are intending to vote by proxy.  It is extremely important that all members take the time to vote, in whichever manner you are most comfortable with, in order to resolve this matter.  If we do not receive a minimum of 64 votes, we will need to re-engage our attorney, which will be another added cost that we hope to avoid since this is charged to the association.

We thank you all for your time and consideration and appreciate your help in resolving this matter.  If you already sent your proxy in, please disregard.  If you'd like to verify that yours has been received, please let me know and I am happy to confirm.

driving in Dam Area

Hello Neighbors,
It was brought to our attention that there has been a vehicle driving over the newly planted soil on the dam.  This has caused severe rutting in the newly planted soil.  In addition, multiple vehicles have pulled in from Lakeside Drive leaving the area by the road rutted as well.
Please use this as a friendly reminder that vehicles are never allowed on the dam or anywhere off the road in the subdivision, for that matter.  This is unnecessary damage that will now create additional work for volunteers of the neighborhood (and possibly added cost).  There is now a barrier and sign up to not drive down there, but we ask that you please be respectful of the beautiful land, lakes and areas that our subdivision has access to.  Also, please be sure any visitors and children are also aware of the need to respect these areas at all times.
If you have any information of who may be driving over this or see behavior at anytime that you believe is not appropriate, please do not hesitate to contact us.  In addition, please remember with school starting the importance of driving slowly through the subdivision.  We have many, many children in the neighborhood and it is important we keep them safe at all times.  Driving below 25 when children are present is ideal and much appreciated.
Finally, please be sure to review the notices that were sent out within the past week regarding an upcoming meeting.  It is important that all members take the time to vote and as a reminder, you can vote by proxy and put your proxy either in the mail or the lockbox at the park.
Attending the meeting is not required if you vote by proxy.
Thank you!
